Tarong, QLD: Man killed in bulldozer rollover
A man has been killed after a bulldozer rolled on a regional Queensland mine site.
It happened about 9am Wednesday at a PowerLink Queensland construction site near the Meandu coal mine in Tarong, near Nanango, about 190km northwest of Brisbane.
It’s understood the 55-year-old was outside the piece of machinery when it rolled down an embankment and trapped the man underneath.
Crews from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), and Queensland Police were all sent to the scene.
The man was found to have suffered critical crushing injuries but he couldn’t be saved.
A police spokesperson said a report will be prepared for the coroner, while the Forensic Crash Unit will assist Workplace Health and Safety in their investigation.
