The community is mourning the loss of 33-year-old Cody Carson Baxter of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Cody passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 6:39 PM at his home. His death was attributed to complications from coronary artery disease.

Cody was born on March 23, 1990 in Taylor County, Kentucky to parents Jeff Baxter and Cyndi Smith Cheatham. Though his life was cut far too short, Cody lived life to the fullest and left behind many loved ones.

A Hard Worker Dedicated to Providing for His Family

Cody was employed as an associate with Amazon.com at their Campbellsville location. He took pride in his work and valued being able to provide for his family. Cody also worked diligently as a sales associate at the local Tractor Supply store.

Outside of work, Cody enjoyed spending time on his hobbies like hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He found peace in being outdoors and working with his hands. But most of all, Cody loved spending quality time with his fiancée Ashley James, their two children Maddie and Archie, and his beloved dogs. Being a father was Cody's greatest joy.

A Loving Son, Brother, and Fiancé

Cody meant the world to his family and leaves behind so many loved ones. He is survived by his mother Cyndi Smith Cheatham of Campbellsville, his father Jeff Baxter and stepmother Cathy Baxter of Campbellsville, his sisters Kate Cheatham and Olivia Cheatham of Campbellsville, his fiancée Ashley James and their children Maddie and Archie of Campbellsville, and his grandparents Faye and Boogie Faulkner and Wayne and Linda Baxter.

Cody also leaves behind his step-siblings Brian Young and Andrea Bolin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. They will all deeply feel the void left behind by Cody's passing.

A Celebration of Cody's Life

A visitation for Cody Carson Baxter will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. This will provide an opportunity for loved ones to pay their respects.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home to honor Cody's life. He will then be laid to rest in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

While nothing can fill the emptiness left behind, Cody's loved ones find solace in reminiscing about his infectious smile and adventurous spirit. The memories made with Cody will never fade, keeping his spirit alive in their hearts.

A Life That Ended Too Soon

33 years was far too brief for someone as vivacious and kind-hearted as Cody. His loved ones are shocked and devastated by the sudden loss. However, Cody would want them to find peace, remember the good times, and continue living life to the fullest - just as he did each and every day.
